Hand Held Communication – A Visual Evolution

Humans have been communicating with electronic devices for almost 100 years or more now. Hand held communication has come a long way since it began, and the following infographic by Brentwood Communications showcases the evolution of radio communication since the first radio broadcast in 1920.

It has become more diverse, efficient, easier to hold and faster. The latest biggest advancement in mobile technology was the introduction of 4G services in the UK in 2012, which promised speeds that matched broadband levels.
