The Ola company and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) made a deal to provide comprehensive health insurance to over 20 lakh ola drivers. The MoU was signed between the Deputy CEO of AB-PMJAY and the National Health Authority (NHA) to provide needed medical assistance to drivers and their loved ones.
In the process, the two partners will work alongside to identify the drivers that fall under the PMJAY scheme and help them avail the healthcare benefits offered by the policy. This deal is said to be useful for thousands of eligible ola drivers and their families.
With PMJAY scheme, they will have easy access to a wide range of healthcare services for critical illnesses at any hospital. There are over 18073 empanelled private as well as government hospitals under the PMJAY scheme.
Who Benefits From This Partnership?

- Enter your name, contact number, and ration card number. You will receive an OTP (one-time-password)

- Look for your name in the given list
Once you know you are eligible for the application, move ahead to the Ayushman Bharat registration process. All the applicable drivers will be issued an ecard which can be used when available services under this scheme.
However, the Ola drivers are liable to pay INR 30 for obtaining the ecard. The NHA is said to work alongside the concerned Ola department for checking the eligibility and issuing of ecards. Moreover, they will also train the Ola staff to execute the same process independently.
