Dog Bite Awareness

Believe it or not, one of the nation’s most commonly reported health problems are dog bites. Amongst the estimated 70 million dogs living in households across the nation, millions of people, mainly children and senior citizens, have fallen victim these easily preventable happenings. Around 800,000 people per year are in need of medical attention on behalf of dog bites, and the number keeps on rising.

This is why National Dog Bite Awareness is so important. There are various things you can do to prevent such happenings. National Dog Bite Awareness week is a national campaign set fourth with a mission to increase pet ownership responsibility and inform safety tips.
