All you hear about text messaging nowadays is how it ruins social interaction, writing skills and expression — not to mention it contributes to dangerous behavior, like texting while driving. What you don’t hear much about is how it’s a convenient and cheap way to keep in touch, and how some doctors and organizations are finding new ways to improve people’s lives thanks to the simple text message.
